5/23/09 - Incident Report filed by Madison Police Department

Male, age 15, Madison
Suspect was arrested for Possession of a Pellet Gun by person under 18 years of age, Resisting a Peace Officer (2 counts), and Disorderly Conduct.

On Saturday night, just past 8:30p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Troy Drive after two young men were seen showing off handguns in an apartment complex courtyard where many young children were playing. Witnesses provided good descriptions, and a responding officer attempted to stop three young men leaving the area. One dropped a backpack and started running. Officers chased him down and he was arrested. A pellet gun was found in the dropped backpack, and a police dog located a second BB pistol near the area where the young men had been spotted. Only one was located and arrested.
